With the help of a friend I've done a brief history and a collection of clips. Enjoy

Takashi Amano - Japanese designer, photographer and aquarist.
He was born in 1954 in Niigata in Japan. Profession is based photographer, specializing in capturing landscapes of nature. Since 1975 Amano has made numerous incursions into the forests of the Amazon, Borneo and West Africa, and in the forests of Japan.
Its main activity was focused on capturing photographer "untouched nature" using large format cameras. He surprised the minute details of landscapes found in his travels using very large negative films (8x20 inch). His works have been published internationally at several exhibitions and publications.
Currently, Amano has taken a new challenge of photography and that is to capture the precious nature of existence in Japan, large format films and pass on to posterity. In the last years, Amano held a series of lectures on account of his photographic expeditions and his experiences with nature throughout the world and stressed many times the importance of tree replanting programs to protect the environment of the planet.
Amano is a member of the Japan Professional Photographers Society, Japan Society of Photographers in Advertising, Society of Scientific Photography, etc.
Creating the aquarium hobby's design is incredibly talented: underwater plants, which he places them after his own path, decorating with rocks, fins and beautiful culture creates a real “underwater bonsai”.
His aquariums resemble natural forests and reefs underwater and from an aesthetic point of view, the images are perfect.
Nature Aquarium (Aquarium Natural style)
Natural style is a concept that combines aquarium hobby planting techniques and ways to achieve a natural ecosystem in a confined space such as an aquarium. Many essentials, learned from "Mother Nature" are condensed into such a space. All that remains to do is to enjoy the "great nature in a glass."
As a photographer, Takashi Amano worked with large format still cameras to capture minute details of nature and the ability to capture and appreciate the finest details of nature is expressed very clearly in his famous quote:
"To know Mother Nature, it means to love his lowest creations"
Amano's works were celebrated internationally mainly because of his dedication to nature. This was the reason why Amano Nature Aquarium concept has developed, which now is a worldwide standard and its popularity is constantly expanding.
Amano ability to study and recreate nature allowed him to realize the fact that adding CO2 to the aquarium environment lead to recreating the natural environment as it exists in the wild. This technique became known as the natural style or natural aquarium.
Although at first sight an aquarium of this type seems simple... it is just an illusion: considering the balance between the number and volume of aquarium fish, a aquascaper who wants to make an aquarium "nature" must fully understand the "golden ratio" used in painting.
Aqua Design Amano (ADA)
Amano's love for nature grew with time, began to experiment with ideas, techniques and technologies and thus was born the famous brand Aqua Design Amano (ADA short). Aqua Design Amano is headquartered in Urushiyama, Niigata, Japan, and mainly deals with the design of fish tanks, their maintenance systems, research, design and development of technologies that allow everyone to create their own Natural Aquarium with ease and with very high success rate on long-term . ADA provides a full range of products, from famous ADA Aqua Soil substrate and aquariums to beautiful clarity ADA Cube Garden fertilization systems extensively tested and researched all the other stylish accessories you need to carry out an aquarium as Amano's original vision: a true underwater garden. ADA done extensive research to develop and test its products even using Amano's personal standards for complete confidence in all that is ADA.
Takashi Amano is credited as one of the most influential personalities in the area aquarium designers, the man who introduced the concepts of Japanese gardens in the aquascaping community. The combination in ADA aquariums: aquatic plants-rocks-wood gives a natural and strong appearance, considered by many an art form.
This concern also produces lighting, filtration, CO2 fertilization, soil types, plants, accessories. aquascaping, aquarium and accessories developed and innovated it.
Two aspects should not be ignored on the ADA: the organization of the largest global competition aquascaping and planted aquarium exhibit their existence at the company in Niigata.
International Aquatic Plants Layout Contest (IAPLC) Is organized by the ADA, each year.
It is the largest competition of its kind in the world and each year are enrolled tens of thousands of competitors.
The competition is a fantastic opportunity for the practice of aquascaping skills but also a launching pad in the field.
One of the participants in this contest, now a respected aquatic designer was the german Oliver Knott.
Regarding the Nature Aquarium Gallery, this exhibit over 40 aquariums with different landscapes, created exclusively using ADA products and is open to the public on week-ends and national holidays.
Gallery was founded in July 2003 and is located in the main lobby of the building hosting the headquarters of the ADA, in Niigata, Japan. Although access is quite difficult, especially for visitors from abroad, the effort worthwhile for experience to see live the original Amano design, which can not be seen elsewhere.
